On Thursday, the state Senate voted in favor of the permitless carry bill, which will allow Floridians to carry concealed guns without a permit.

Senate Bill 256 will affect public sector union members, which include healthcare workers and more than 150,000 teachers.

In states like Florida, where Republican leaders continue to reject Medicaid expansion, this could disproportionately affect Black and Latino people.
