The highly anticipated rematch between Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor is set to take place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Nov. 15.

The fight is part of a Most Valuable Promotions card, which will be headlined by legendary former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, who is one of Serrano’s promoters.

Their last match was in April 2022, when Taylor (Ireland) narrowly defended her undisputed lightweight titles against Serrano (Puerto Rico) in a match that some call the best women’s fight in boxing history.

It was the first women’s bout to headline the Madison Square Garden, a venue traditionally reserved for the most celebrated boxing matchups. Fans witnessed an intense ten-round fight, where both fighters showcased their skills. Taylor’s victory allowed her to keep her IBF, WBC and WBO belts at 135 pounds.

Taylor ultimately claimed a narrow victory by split decision, sparking heated debate among fans and experts alike about whether the decision was justified. With such a close and controversial outcome, both fighters are eager to prove their superiority in the ring on Friday.

A weight of 138 pounds has been agreed on for this fight.

Serrano, a nine-time champion across seven different weight classes, holds a record of 47-2-1 with 31 knockouts, with her second loss coming from Taylor. Since their first matchup in 2022, the Puerto Rican fighter has secured five consecutive wins, including her recent bout at 136 pounds against American Stevie Morgan, whom she defeated by technical knockout on July 20 in Tampa, Florida.

Taylor, for her part, is the current IBF, WBO, WBC and IBO champion in the super lightweight division.
